If the Church has its saints, humanity has its poets. By Federico García Lorca, one of the universal poets, perhaps he has already surpassed the human condition; at least, he has acquired during this weekend the category of sacred. It was 5 o’clock in the afternoon and it was so in all the clocks,» could be heard in Paco Rabal’s voice over the loudspeakers installed on the cathedral staircase on Friday. 5 pm, the hour of mourning. As a result, five in the evening has been the time on all clocks and throughout the weekend in Granada, and already on Friday night, when the city’s enchanted bars buzzed, there was a lament that pierced like a dagger in a fenced square of Pasiegas. Choristers integrated among the audience accompany the singing of singer Ángeles Toledano in the Plaza de las Pasiegas in Granada last Friday. Elvira Megias. The piece Yo canto para luego, composed by Guille Galván, transformed Llanto por Ignacio Sánchez Mejías into four songs that resonated like an overflowing prayer of emotion. The square, guarded by the imposing presence of the cathedral, more regal than ever with its pink light on the century-old stone, was crowded.
